Hello, Are you working with writers to publish any of their work? Or do you know some one that is? I am an unpublished writer and would love to write for a small magazine, pamplet, or any small company or etc. I would appreciate a response!!

    Thank you,
    Gwen

      Hey Gwen,
We aren’t working with writers now, no. But we’ll definitely keep our ears open and pass along any publishing opportunities if we hear of them. Depending on what you’re trying to get published, it may be a good first step to see if a local or regional literary journal is accepting submissions. Good luck!

    Hello,
Do you have a similar contest for 2010? I have a short but very fitting South Florida Poem.
    Thank you for your reply,
    Donna Orseno

    Hi Donna,

Not certain if we will reprise the contest in 2010, but you are always free to send your potential contributions to pitches@wlrnunderthesun.org.

Why We're Telling These Stories

From Abe Rich's nephew...

On behalf of my family, friends and those that were close to my Uncle - thank you! It is truly a treasure to have the piece recorded and available for us and future generations to cherish. The story really captures his character, persona and spirit. Abe was a simple man, a man who struggled to survive during a tragic era in our history. His traumas and survival instinct kept him alive in Europe, Israel and in Miami as he worked till he could no longer stand up. As it said on his shop wall... "There is no substitute for hard work." I believe you and everyone at WLRN work very hard to provide us with wonderful programming and go above and beyond your call of duty. Thank you very much.
