Bric a brac

By Ruth Morris

You’ve seen their work at train crossings, on abandoned buildings, while driving down the I-95.  Graffiti artists, who also call themselves ‘writers,’ have made South Florida their canvas. Now, the book Miami Graffiti by James and Karla Murray, showcases the local graffiti scene.

We talked to a couple writers at the book’s launch– you know, about tags and bombing and burners and buffing and stuff– and put together an audio-slideshow with work we found near our studio.

Special thanks to James and Karla for allowing us to use the first four pictures, which feature work by ATOMIK./Produced by Ruth Morris
