Our Haiti episode airs this Saturday at noon on WLRN 91.3/WKWM 91.5 FM.   It’s about how the earthquake changed life in South Florida– the region with the largest Haitian population in the United States.

You can take part in a community listening party, followed by a discussion at  Konbit for Haiti Center.   Konbit for Haiti is located at 521 NE 81st Street.  It’s in the shopping mall at Biscayne Boulevard and NW 79th Street.  It’s right next to the Family Dollar store.  The event begins Saturday at 11 a.m.

There are community events every Saturday afternoon at Konbit aimed at bringing together the Haitian community, as well as people from other cultures.  These events are put together by the groups Trauma Resolution Center and Koze Ayiti (which roughly translates to “conversations of Haiti”).

Live translation in Kreyol will be provided.

Koze Ayiti recently posted a video of our Evening Under the Sun in Little Haiti.
