Join us Thursday, March 3, to celebrate 40 years of  the Miami-Dade Public Library, the Peña family and Spanglish!  Our own Trina Sargalski will do a live version of her Letter from West Kendall about growing up with the show.  Bill Teck of Generation ñ will MC an evening packed with ¿Que Pasa, USA? clips and episodes. The Foryoucansee collective will perform Hialeah Haikus and Barbara Ann Martin, who played Sharon on the show, will make a live appearance.

The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Miami-Dade Main Library, 101 W. Flagler St. It is presented by Generation ñ, WPBT and Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library System.

¿Que Pasa, USA? was the nation’s first bilingual sitcom. It first aired in 1975 as an educational TV production by WPBT and Miami-Dade College.

In the meantime…
